Gross domestic product (GRDP) in the first quarter of 2025 increased the highest in the past 3 years

According to the Son La Provincial Statistics Office, the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated to reach more than VND 15,850 billion, an increase of 7.36% over the same period last year. This is the highest increase in the past 3 years.

Of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.21%. The industry and construction sector continued to be an important driving force for growth with an increase of 11.44%. The service sector increased by 7.79%.

This result shows that Son La’s economy is recovering and developing positively right from the beginning of the year. This is an important premise for the province to continue to synchronously implement solutions to promote production and business, aiming for the target of GRDP growth of 8% for the whole year as planned.

Currently, Son La province is focusing on supporting businesses, improving the investment environment and promoting the development of high-tech agriculture , processing industry and promoting sustainable tourism development./.
