Total state budget revenue by the end of September is expected to reach approximately 85% of the annual estimate on the basis of good progress in central and local budget revenue.
Sharing the above content at the regular press conference for the third quarter on September 27, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi added that the total state budget revenue up to this point has reached over 1.44 million billion VND and this is the highest collection progress of 9 months in many years.
In September 2024, storm No. 3 (Yagi) and its aftermath caused severe impacts on many provinces and cities in the Northern region, directly affecting socio -economic development and other financial targets. However, the financial sector has implemented measures to ensure state budget revenue and ensure correct and sufficient collection, striving to achieve the highest level.
According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi, the Ministry of Finance will balance the budget to ensure regular spending needs, spending on development investment, and at the same time provide enough capital for important infrastructure investment projects.
Regarding the work of building legal policies, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi said that at the upcoming National Assembly session, the Ministry of Finance will preside over the drafting of 10 projects, including the draft Law on Value Added Tax (amended) and the draft Law on amending 7 laws on the financial sector, which will be sought for approval. In addition, the Ministry of Finance will also submit for comments the draft Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended), the draft Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended) and the Law on Management and Investment of State Capital in Enterprises, along with reports on the state budget and the state budget estimate for 2025, etc.
With the above workload, the leaders of the Ministry of Finance said that they have directed specialized units to take responsibility for presiding over the contents, thereby proactively developing and reporting to competent authorities to submit to the National Assembly, ensuring the best quality, time, progress and results.
