Top high schools with the highest graduation exam scores in Hanoi

Five specialized schools ranked first in 8/9 graduation exam subjects, with only Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary and High School, a non-specialized school, at the top of the list.

After the high school graduation exam scores were announced this morning, the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training compiled a list of schools with the highest average scores in each subject in the city (only schools with more than 80 candidates taking the exam were considered).

In general, most of the schools in the ranking are among the top schools with the highest admission scores for grade 10 in Hanoi . In addition to the public high schools of the Department of Education and Training, this list also includes four specialized schools under the Hanoi National University and Hanoi Pedagogical University.

In Mathematics , the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School achieved the highest average score - 8.08. Next were Thang Long High School and Kim Lien High School, with 8.05 and 8.03 respectively.

The remaining positions belong to Le Quy Don - Ha Dong, Nguyen Tat Thanh, Lien Ha, Phan Dinh Phung...

In the three subjects of Literature, History and Geography , the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, took the lead, scoring 8.52, 7.65 and 7.12 points respectively. These are all specialized subjects of the school.

Leading the two subjects of Chemistry and Biology are Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted with 7.47 and 7.43 points. The schools ranked below also mainly achieved scores of 7 and above, the lowest in the top 10 are Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted with 6.95 points in Chemistry, Yen Hoa High School with 6.74 points in Biology.

Foreign Language Specialized High School, Hanoi National University, leads in Foreign Language with an average score of 9.28. The remaining schools in the top 10 achieved 8.46 or higher, of which Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary and High School and Hanoi - Amsterdam Specialized High School scored nearly 9.

In addition, the Foreign Language School also ranked first in Civic Education - with an average score of 9.37. This is the subject with the highest score, all schools in the ranking have a score of 9.

Only Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary and High School are non-specialized schools that top the graduation exam subjects in Hanoi. Students of this school scored an average of 7.8 in Physics, followed by Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School with 7.63.

This year, Hanoi has 102,000 candidates taking the high school graduation exam, the largest number in the country, accounting for about 10% of the total candidates. The capital is also the locality with the highest score of 10 - 1,232, concentrated in Civic Education 1,025 and Foreign Language 106. Compared to last year, Hanoi's absolute score has increased more than twice.

This year’s high school graduation exam took place over two days, June 28-29, with more than one million candidates taking the exam. Of these, more than 943,300 used the results to both qualify for graduation recognition and apply to colleges and universities.
