On the morning of May 2, the Buddha's relics, India's national treasure and the supreme sacred treasure of world Buddhism, officially arrived in Vietnam via Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City.
This is the opening activity of a 20-day important spiritual journey on the occasion of the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak held at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Ho Chi Minh City.
The highlight of this year's journey is the program of worshiping the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni - a sacred treasure invited from India to Vietnam for the first time.
The Buddha's relics will be enshrined in Ho Chi Minh City from May 2 to 8 as part of the 2025 Vesak Festival. Then, at the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area from May 8 to 13; at the headquarters of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Quan Su Pagoda in Hanoi from May 13 to 16, and at Tam Chuc Pagoda in Ha Nam Province from May 17 to 21.
This is considered a great event, opening up a great opportunity for every Buddhist to show respect and cultivate spiritual blessings.

According to Vietravel, in addition to visiting the relics, pilgrimage tours also take tourists to famous Buddhist sites across the country.
At the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area (Tay Ninh), according to the schedule of the 2025 Vesak Festival, on May 8, thousands of delegates from more than 80 countries and territories around the world will travel to Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh), attending a series of historic events on the highest mountain in the South.

For the first time in history, the national treasure of India will be brought to Ba Den Mountain for Buddhists and tourists to worship. The Buddha's relics will be brought to Ba Den Mountain with solemn ceremonies by thousands of high-ranking monks of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, international Buddhist delegations, government representatives and delegates of the 2025 Vesak Festival.
