Bac Lieu City: More than 140 teachers recognized as excellent teachers in the 2024

On the morning of April 3, the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu City organized a summary of the competitions for excellent teachers at preschool, primary and secondary schools. This year's competitions attracted the participation of 200 contestants who are teachers at all levels who are directly teaching at public and private schools in the city. Specifically, there were 67 teachers at preschool level, 47 teachers at primary level and 86 teachers at secondary level. These are outstanding individuals selected from the school-level competition for excellent teachers.

The organizing committee awarded certificates of excellent city-level teachers to primary school teachers.

All contestants must pass two exams, including: "Presenting measures to contribute to improving teaching quality" and practicing teaching in class.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, for the practical teaching competition in class, the advantages are that many teachers have invested well in preparing for the lesson, received feedback from school leaders and colleagues to build the lesson; lesson plans are prepared with detailed activities, well-prepared teaching aids to serve the lesson; teachers apply information technology in the lesson; exploit new knowledge with many different methods; teachers monitor and cover the students' activities, detect difficulties they encounter in the process of performing tasks and give guiding directions, suggestions, encourage students to cooperate, support each other to complete the assigned learning tasks...

However, there are still some limitations such as: Some new teachers lack experience; cannot use teaching aids specific to the subject in class to assess students' learning tasks; exploiting and using visual aids is ineffective and unscientific...

Regarding the presentation of measures, the advantages of the measures are suitable for the teaching work of individuals at educational institutions; are novel, suitable for practice and meet the teaching requirements of the 2018 General Education Program... Regarding limitations, some measures are not novel; do not state the advantages and difficulties associated with the presented measures; are not feasible, only present the theory, teaching methods and teaching procedures...

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates of excellent teachers at the city level for the 2024-2025 school year to 141 teachers at all levels. Of which, 47/67 teachers at preschool level; 23/47 at primary level; and 71/86 teachers at secondary level were recognized.
