On November 10, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the results of the inspection and survey of administrative reform, information technology application and digital transformation in the field of education and training in 2025.
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training has established 6 inspection teams to conduct direct surveys at educational institutions in 3 areas in Ho Chi Minh City.
The results show that the inspected and surveyed units have proactively deployed and implemented administrative reform work plans, established and completed steering committees for administrative reform and digital transformation... However, according to this department's assessment, the plans of the schools are still general, not specific, not put into practice, and some contents are not suitable for the functions and tasks of the units.
In the survey on the satisfaction of parents and students with the quality of public education activities and services, the Department of Education and Training concluded that there were still some units reporting survey results that did not meet the requirements. Specifically, the report did not clearly analyze the satisfaction rate of the criteria for each specific subject, did not propose implementation solutions and did not compare the satisfaction rate between years.
Regarding administrative reform, the conclusion stated that there are still some schools that have not clearly posted the schedule for receiving citizens on the school website; and have not distinguished between the regular schedule for receiving citizens of the unit head and the schedule for direct management and administration of the management team.
In particular, some decisions on assigning tasks to principals and vice principals do not reflect teaching tasks as prescribed, but are only shown in the general teaching schedule of the whole school.
Regarding the number of teaching hours of teachers in the 2024-2025 school year, the units have not yet assigned enough hours to the teaching staff. In addition, some units have not assigned appropriate work positions.
Therefore, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City recommends that schools need to strengthen the responsibility of their leaders in maintaining the order of receiving citizens, implementing publicity in many forms, recording, archiving and reporting according to regulations.
At the same time, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City requires schools to add teaching tasks as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training of principals and vice principals to the decision on assigning tasks to principals and vice principals to ensure full legal compliance according to regulations. Schools need to fully publicize the content as prescribed and publicize it on the electronic information portal. When publicizing, it is necessary to arrange it by category for easy searching...
