From April 21 to May 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety will inspect and evaluate the compliance with food safety regulations of food production and trading establishments (processed milk, medical nutritional foods, etc.).

Ms. Pham Khanh Phong Lan - Director of the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City has just signed a plan to inspect the compliance with the law in the field of food safety with the following topics: processed milk, nutritional products, food supplements, medical nutritional foods, foods for special diets.

The inspection period is from April 21 to May 30. This plan aims to assess the compliance with food safety laws of food production and trading establishments.

According to the plan, the inspection subjects will focus on food production and trading establishments in the above thematic group.

Ms. Lan requested that the inspection work be focused and key to fully and specifically grasp the situation of compliance with food safety laws, focusing on taking product samples to evaluate the quality of products circulating on the market, especially products showing signs of product quality violations.

Timely detect, correct and strictly handle violations of food safety in food production and trading, and prevent violating products from circulating on the market.

Inspection work must ensure objectivity, accuracy, and compliance with legal processes and procedures; and must not hinder the normal operations of the organization or individual being inspected.

At the same time, proactively implement and closely coordinate with relevant agencies in inspecting compliance with food safety laws and regulations for individuals and organizations producing and trading food in the area.

Ms. Lan requested that the inspection teams report the results of food safety inspections at the end of the inspection. In addition, the inspection teams promptly report the results of food safety inspections upon request.

The inspection team will take samples of products showing signs of quality violations.

The inspection team will check contents such as business registration certificate, food safety certificate, product declaration file, labels, invoices, documents proving the origin of raw materials, import documents, advertising documents and advertising content confirmation papers...

The inspection team also assessed factors such as factory hygiene, equipment, tools, personnel directly involved in production and business, etc.

During the inspection process, samples of products showing signs of violations in food quality and safety will be taken and sent for food testing at designated testing facilities serving state management of food safety.
