Ho Chi Minh City recognizes the first 100 digital schools

Accordingly, the first 100 digital schools recognized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee are primary, secondary and high schools that meet all 6 component standards.

Specifically:

Standard 1 is digital institutions: Assess the implementation of regulations, processes and guidelines to ensure the effective and safe deployment and use of digital technology in education.

Standard 2 is physical facilities and digital infrastructure: To assess the implementation of fully equipping facilities and necessary technology to support effective teaching and learning in the digital age.

Including fully equipping classrooms, building and operating data management and storage systems to serve learning and teaching activities in digital environments.

Standard 3 is digital data: To assess the management and assurance of student, staff, school, and facility data. Digital learning materials that meet the requirements of "correct, sufficient, clean, and alive" serve as the foundation for activities of synthesis, analysis, statistics, reporting, and supporting data-based decision making.

Standard 4 is digital human resources: To assess the work of ensuring that the team of educational managers, teachers, and staff are equipped with knowledge and skills in information technology and information security. Ensure that this team is assigned to participate in activities in the digital environment, meeting the requirements of digital transformation.

Standard 5 is digital governance and management: To assess the effectiveness of management through minimizing manual processes; Integrating information systems in schools to create a unified working environment; Effectively deploying services and procedures in the digital environment; Technology-based governance and management.

Standard 6 is digitaleducation : To assess the implementation of enhanced deployment of a blended learning model combining direct and online teaching methods through a digital environment.

Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that based on the above standards, educational institutions will determine their goals, orientations, and development to meet the standards of digital school models. The goal is to move towards strongly changing the management and educational activities at the unit in the direction of digital transformation.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the city aims to successfully implement the project of 50 digital schools to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. In fact, not only 50 but up to 100 schools have met the standards and been recognized.

"The set of digital school standards is also a tool for management agencies to assess the status of digital transformation and information technology application at educational institutions; it is a goal and orientation for educational institutions to implement digital transformation and information technology application at the unit, change the method of organizing educational activities, and improve the quality and effectiveness of education" - Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said.
