Ho Chi Minh City People's Council approved the policy of including Binh Quoi - Thanh Da New Urban Area in Binh Quoi Ward in the list of land areas to be auctioned to select investors.

On November 14, at the 5th session, the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City approved the policy of including the Binh Quoi - Thanh Da New Urban Area, Binh Quoi Ward in the list of projects to be bid for selecting investors to implement investment projects using land under Point a, Clause 1, Article 126, Land Law 2024, with an area of ​​405.9 hectares.

The People's Council assigned the City People's Committee to announce and implement the plan to organize bidding to select investors and ensure the progress of organizing bidding to select investors to implement projects using land.

According to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the land to implement Binh Quoi - Thanh Da Urban Area has not yet had a decision on land recovery, compensation and site clearance has not been completed and is not yet included in the local land use plan for 2025.

Although the land is not yet eligible for auction of land use rights according to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law, according to the regulations on investor selection, Binh Quoi - Thanh Da Urban Area still fully meets the criteria to be included in the bidding list.

Also at the meeting on November 14, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council also approved the list of 63 pilot land plots to implement commercial housing projects in the area in 2025 (phase 2) according to Resolution No. 171 of 2024 of the National Assembly .

The total area of ​​63 pilot land plots is 852.7 hectares, of which the rice-growing land area expected to change its purpose is 798,974 square meters.

The People's Council assigned the City People's Committee to announce and publicly post the list of the above land plots and issue a notice approving real estate business organizations to conduct the pilot.
