Ho Chi Minh City established the Election Committee for the National Assembly and People's Council deputies for the 2026

The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a decision to establish the Election Committee for the 16th National Assembly and Ho Chi Minh City People's Council for the 2026-2031 term.

The decision was made after the city completed the process of reviewing the legal basis and reached an agreement between the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the decision, the Election Commission consists of 31 members.

Mr. Vo Van Minh, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, holds the position of Chairman of the Election Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City
Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee
Mr. Tran Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council

The Election Committee has a seal, operating budget and supporting apparatus as prescribed. This agency will perform its duties and powers according to Article 23 of the 2015 Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils and will end its duties according to Article 28 of this Law.

The Decision takes effect from the date of signing. Relevant agencies, units and members are responsible for implementation.

The decision was simultaneously sent to the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Election Council, the Government, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Delegation Work Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City, the city's departments and branches, the authorities of wards, communes, special zones and press agencies for information.
