According to Travel and Leisure (India), Vietnam is a country famous for its street food. In Ho Chi Minh City, one of the busiest cities in Vietnam, spring rolls are a street food that tourists should not miss.
Travel and Leisure describes spring rolls as a combination of many ingredients such as: rice noodles, vegetables and herbs with shrimp or pork rolled in rice paper. To feel the freshness of vegetables and seafood, visitors should eat it with peanut sauce. Visitors can easily find this street food at eateries on Tran Khac Chan Street or Phu Nhuan District.
In addition to spring rolls, visitors can enjoy other popular street foods such as: grilled shrimp, fish hotpot, crab dishes and don't forget to miss bread and egg coffee.
In February this year, Khyati Dand, a writer specializing in Indian cuisine for The Travel, commented that Asia is one of the ideal destinations for tourists who love street food. In the list of 10 cities that she rated as "a street food lover's dream", Ho Chi Minh City was mentioned second, after Delhi (India).
Dand suggests that when visiting Ho Chi Minh City, visitors should try dishes such as banh mi, squid porridge, char siu, and should eat at old restaurants. Locals like to eat at restaurants with plastic tables and chairs on the sidewalk. Visitors can sit on a motorbike and weave through the streets to enjoy the cuisine, this is a unique experience according to Dand.
