(HTV) - The Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country has announced a series of key, spectacular and attractive activities on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
This especially important political event of national scale is jointly organized by the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Ho Chi Minh City.
Central Steering Committee celebrates major holidays and important historical events of the country in 3 years (2023 - 2025)
The National Celebration Program will take place at 6:30 a.m. on April 30 on Le Duan Street, District 1 and some central streets of Ho Chi Minh City. The highlight is the parade and marching program chaired by the Ministry of National Defense , with the participation of 4 honorary groups, 36 parade groups and 12 marching groups. In particular, it is expected that there will be the participation of parade groups from Laos and Cambodia, demonstrating the solidarity and friendship between the countries.
This important event has attracted widespread attention and response from the international community. To date, more than 20 delegations from various countries have confirmed their participation at various levels, along with more than 100 delegates representing peace and anti-war organizations around the world. Another special highlight is that for the first time, there will be a parade of 120 outstanding overseas Vietnamese from all over the world returning to their homeland to attend the national festival. Ho Chi Minh City is also honored to receive confirmation of participation from more than 20 sister localities across the country.

The first bus is the bus of the heroes of the armed forces, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and the most typical direct forces. This is a very honorable content in the organization of the parade of Ho Chi Minh City this year."
Key activities on April 30
To facilitate the people and tourists to visit and watch the parade, Ho Chi Minh City has prepared about 62,000 hotel rooms, not to mention other types of accommodation, and believes this number will meet the demand.
On this meaningful occasion, from April 19 to 30, Ho Chi Minh City will simultaneously organize many unique cultural activities, taking place in many cultural spaces in the city, serving the needs of people to enjoy and immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere. Currently, more than 700 domestic and international reporters have registered to participate in the work, reporting on the important activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
