On the morning of October 15, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a conference to promote investment in projects in the culture and sports sector of Ho Chi Minh City in 2024. Attending the conference was Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that Ho Chi Minh City has received attention from the central government, issuing many special policies and mechanisms.

At the conference, besides introducing the projects, Mr. Mai also wanted to exchange and listen to the opinions of cultural experts and investors about the cultural industry to help the city improve mechanisms and policies to attract investment.The head of the city government hopes that investors will join Ho Chi Minh City in solving this problem. By 2030, the city will have facilities that are sufficient to become a continental event center, with modern cultural and sports facilities.
Not only investment projects, Ho Chi Minh City also wants to develop cultural industry, develop culture and society. Therefore, Mr. Mai believes that the Ho Chi Minh City government not only offers preferential investment policies but also has long-term commitments to investors in developing cultural industry.
At the conference, Mr. Tran The Thuan, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, introduced to investors 5 priority investment projects.
Including the project to build a new AB Labor Performing Arts Center (District 5) with 164 billion VND; build a new Gia Dinh Theater (Binh Thanh District) with 250 billion VND, build a new City Cultural Center (District 1) with 295 billion VND, build a new Ho Chi Minh City Cultural and Arts Center in the new urban area of Thu Thiem (investment level has not been determined) and build a new Ho Chi Minh City Multi-purpose Sports and Cultural Center in Can Gio District with 1,643 billion VND.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City also introduced 16 more projects at Rach Chiec National Sports Complex (Thu Duc City) for investors to study and propose investment plans..../.
