V-League is unpredictable
At the end of every season, there are teams that are out of motivation in the V-League. These are clubs that have almost no chance of making it into the top 3, but are also very unlikely to be relegated. The large point gap between the top and bottom groups makes these teams have no clear goals.
Or to put it simply, these are the teams that are not in the "white zone" (competing for high rankings), nor in the "black zone" (competing for relegation), but are in the gray area. They are Hai Phong Club, Thanh Hoa Club and HAGL Club.

An impressive streak of matches (7 wins, 2 draws, 3 losses, earning 23 points in the last 12 matches) has pulled Hai Phong FC from the second-to-last position to sixth place with 31 points. Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem and his team will have difficulty entering the top 3 as they are already 6 points behind The Cong Viettel , but they cannot be relegated as they are 11 points ahead of the danger zone.
Similarly, Thanh Hoa Club, despite being in crisis after winning only 1 of the last 14 matches in the V-League, thanks to accumulating extremely good points in the first half of the season when coach Velizar Popov was still in charge, the Thanh team has 30 points, no worries about relegation, and also... no chance to break into the medal group.
Although they only have 27 points and are theoretically at risk of relegation, HAGL is unlikely to "fall", as they are 7 points ahead of the danger zone, and there are only 3 rounds left in the season.
After round 24, there will be more teams joining the group of no motivation.
When there is no longer a goal of achievement, how will these clubs play when facing opponents who are more hungry for points? That has long been a story that is... difficult to say, with the ambiguous favors rumored in the Vietnamese football village that, although no one admits, still leave many doubts.
The decisive matches
The history of V-League is not lacking in teams that needed points to stay in the league, but suddenly... won several matches in a row in the final stages, against opponents who had no goals left.

Look no further than this season, the final matches are playing out in a predictable way, with teams still aiming to win (championship or stay in the league) winning, or even crushing teams that are running out of motivation.
Tight matches usually only take place between teams with clear motivations, such as Binh Dinh's 2-2 draw (avoiding relegation) against The Cong Viettel (racing for top 3), Da Nang Club's 3-1 win over Binh Dinh (both teams racing to avoid relegation), or Hanoi Club (racing for championship)'s 2-1 win over SLNA (avoiding relegation).
With the level of ability of V-League teams not too different, perhaps, attitude is much more important than level. Teams with clear goals must obviously fight. As for teams that have lost motivation, what mood they will enter the field with, is a matter that will only be clear when the match takes place.
In the last 3 rounds, HAGL will meet all 3 teams struggling for survival such as Da Nang Club (round 24), SLNA (round 25) and Quang Nam Club (round 26). Thanh Hoa Club will also meet Binh Dinh Club (round 25), a team that is thirsty for points to stay in the league, and Hanoi Police Club, which needs to win to compete for the top 3. As for Hai Phong, they will meet The Cong Viettel and Hanoi Police Club.
Play your best to light the fire of fairness in the game!
