The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just announced the conclusion of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc at the meeting on the proposal of V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company, related to the special mechanism for deploying electric vehicle charging station infrastructure at public places.
In conclusion, the Department of Construction was assigned to review and update the city's planning towards green transport development, including a system of electric charging stations and clean fuel supply points. The implementation must be based on public land funds, ensuring safety, aesthetics and avoiding waste. At the same time, the department advised on plans to exploit public land planned for charging stations, in the form of land lease auctions.
The Department of Construction is also responsible for issuing specific regulations and instructions on the installation of charging stations, ensuring fire prevention and fighting, urban order and traffic safety.
In addition, it is necessary to propose incentive policies to attract people and businesses to participate in investing in developing green energy for transportation.
At the same time, the Department will develop a roadmap for green transport infrastructure development and submit it to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration to meet the goal of sustainable energy conversion according to the Party and State's policies.
Regarding V-Green's proposal for 35 charging station locations, the Department of Construction will coordinate with relevant agencies to unify the arrangement plan and submit it to the City People's Committee for decision.
Ho Chi Minh City also acknowledged the cooperation proposal between V-Green (under Vingroup ) and Thanh Nien Xung Phong Public Service Company Limited to utilize land funds at public parking lots combined with electric charging stations. The two businesses are encouraged to proactively agree on the plan, then report to the competent authority for approval.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested Vingroup Corporation to continue accompanying the city in implementing the Government's policy on green energy conversion, reducing carbon and methane emissions in the transportation sector.
