Pho Yen City: Support to build solidarity houses for near-poor households

On the morning of May 8, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Pho Yen City coordinated with the People's Committee of Ba Hang Ward to organize the donation of funds to support the construction of a solidarity house for the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thinh, born in 1959, a near-poor household with extremely difficult circumstances in Dai Phong residential group.

Representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Pho Yen City presented money to support the construction of a solidarity house to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thinh.

Ms. Thinh's family has 5 members, 2 of whom are sick and unable to work, and 2 young children. They live in a small, seriously degraded house that cannot be repaired or rebuilt.

Faced with the difficult circumstances of Mrs. Thinh's family, the Pho Yen City Fatherland Front Committee has mobilized support from kind-hearted individuals and groups to help the family build a house. Currently, Mrs. Thinh's new house is being built with an area of ​​90m2, with a total cost of over 300 million VND. Of which, the City Fatherland Front Committee supported 50 million VND, benefactors supported 70 million VND, and the rest was contributed by relatives.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thinh's new house is under construction.

It is known that from the beginning of 2025 until now, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Pho Yen City has supported 5 poor and near-poor households in the area to repair and build houses, with a total support budget of 210 million VND.
