Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Huynh Minh Chin, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, said that the synchronized deployment of the pre-hospital emergency medical system in neighboring areas is an important step in the implementation of Project 912 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the Development of a Professional Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical System in the period up to 2030 and beyond.

Therefore, satellite stations need to be well-prepared in terms of personnel, facilities, and medical equipment. Standardizing expertise in pre-hospital emergency care is necessary not only for medical staff in the emergency department but also for staff in clinical departments within the hospital, to ensure readiness to participate in all emergency situations, especially those involving mass casualties.

"As the network of 115 satellite stations continues to expand, people in Ho Chi Minh City will receive faster assistance, reducing waiting times, increasing the chances of saving lives, and improving the quality of emergency medical care," said Dr. Huynh Minh Chin.

According to Dr. Huynh Minh Chin, the launch of the two 115 satellite emergency stations is not only a milestone in terms of scale but also affirms the health sector's determination to prioritize the health and lives of the people, especially in emergency situations.

According to Dr. Nguyen Duy Long, Director of the 115 Emergency Center in Ho Chi Minh City, before July 1, 2025, the Binh Duong area, which previously did not have a 115 Emergency Center, mainly handled pre-hospital emergency services by local medical units, lacking coordinated and unified procedures and management.

When people need emergency care, they often have to contact the nearest hospital or medical center directly, leading to disparities in the speed and quality of response.

From July 1st, 2025, all calls from citizens to the 115 emergency number will be routed to the Ho Chi Minh City 115 Emergency Center.

Here, information is received, analyzed, and coordinated centrally, leading to more unified, synchronized, and systematic management across the entire system.

To date, the total number of calls received is approximately 9,000, of which 452 were emergency calls, a 305% increase compared to the previous average (in 2024, the total number of emergency calls in Binh Duong area was 1,780).
