Students' wishes are considered in order. Based on the quota of each school, the Department considers from top to bottom until there are enough students, the principle is that the standard score of the next wish is not lower than the previous wish.
Three days ago, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the benchmark scores of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted. These two schools both have the highest benchmark scores for grade 10 students majoring in biology.

According to the plan, from 3:00 p.m. on June 26 to 4:00 p.m. on July 1, candidates will confirm online admission to high schools of all remaining types at: https://ts10.hcm.edu.vn
Before 10:00 a.m. on June 28, the Department of Education and Training will collect the secondary school review records and submit them to the Examination and Quality Control Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.
From July 3-10, successful candidates in all types of admission will complete the admission procedures directly at the confirmed high school through the online system. The Department notes that if parents and students do not complete the admission procedures, the candidates will be considered removed from the admission list.
The review results are expected to be announced on July 11.
From July 12-14, additional admission will be considered for cases that passed the review.
From July 15 to no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 17, submit additional admission applications in all categories.
From July 20-21, high schools will report on the status of admitted students submitting their applications. On July 22, high schools will report on the need and number of additional 10th grade students (if any).
Last year, Nguyen Thuong Hien High School led the rankings with 24.25 points, down 1.25 points compared to 2023.
With the admission score calculated as the sum of 3 subjects: literature, math, foreign language and priority points (if any), candidates who want to be admitted to Nguyen Thuong Hien High School must have an average score of nearly 8.09 points per subject.
Following that are the next three schools with 23.25 points: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Huu Huan, and Tran Phu High Schools, a slight decrease of 0.25-1 point. Despite the decrease in the standard score, all three schools increased by 1-5 ranks compared to last year.
