According to Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper, Head of the contest organizing committee, after more than 3 months of launching, the organizing committee has received more than 6,800 entries from teachers nationwide. Each lecture is a message about the love of the profession, love of students and the sense of social responsibility of the teacher. It is creativity in content, innovation in methods, and above all, love, the aspiration to build a "smoke-free school" in every lesson, every activity hour.
The contest lectures have strongly applied digital technology , combined with visual images, illustrative videos, simulation situations, real stories, helping students easily absorb and empathize. Not only stopping at warning about harmful effects, many lectures also arouse critical thinking skills, self-protection skills and positive lifestyles, helping students love themselves, respect others and say "no" to cigarettes.
Many typical works demonstrate new thinking, integrating knowledge of biology, chemistry, life skills; exploiting "teen" psychology; or using the form of dramatization, group interaction...
The organizers have been converting excellent lectures into electronic documents, posting them on media platforms to serve the entire education sector. This is a step to expand the value of the competition beyond the auditorium, bringing creative results to classrooms, remote and isolated areas.
As a result, the organizing committee has structured the awards for two levels (middle school and high school). In total, 38 individuals and 10 groups were honored.
Of which, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City won the first collective prize.
