DNO - The City Department of Education and Training has just issued Official Dispatch No. 2085/SGDĐT-VP dated November 5, 2025 regarding students being off school due to the impact of storm No. 13.

In anticipation of the possibility of widespread heavy rains in communes and wards across the city from November 6 to 7, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) has requested heads of units and schools to urgently notify preschool children, students, and trainees across the city to have a day off on the afternoon of November 6, 2025.

Vocational training institutions and private universities and colleges shall, based on the actual situation, proactively decide on student attendance.

In addition, seriously and effectively implement Official Dispatch No. 2060/SGDĐT-VP dated November 4, 2025 of the Department of Education and Training on proactively responding to storm No. 13.

Absolutely do not be negligent or subjective, focus on leadership and direction with a spirit of urgency, determination, and proactively respond to bad situations caused by storms and floods.

Schools should proactively arrange a time to notify parents and arrange and assign teachers and staff to manage preschool children and students; for educational institutions with boarding organizations, they should notify suppliers and not take food to organize cooking to avoid excess food rations.

For educational institutions with boarding facilities, in case students cannot return home, the head of the unit must assign teachers and staff to manage the students, ensuring the safety of students, teachers and workers.

Based on the actual situation and conditions, proactively deploy programs and appropriate forms of teaching and learning organization when students cannot go to school in areas affected by landslides and flash floods; areas flooded during days of complicated rain and storms.

In addition, focus on directing and mobilizing local forces to urgently deploy damage recovery work at the unit after the storm, when the water recedes and the rain stops.

Clean schools and classrooms, ensure disease prevention and control, promptly stabilize teaching and learning activities; create all conditions for preschool children, students and trainees to return to school, do not rigidly and mechanically follow regulations in the days before and after storms.
