On May 13, Ward 8 Police (Phu Nhuan District) and Ho Chi Minh City Police are investigating the cause of the hotel fire in the area.
Earlier, at about 1 a.m. the same day, residents living on Nguyen Dinh Chinh Street (Ward 8, Phu Nhuan District) discovered a fire breaking out at a 6-story hotel on this street and shouted. People used water and fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Police arrived at the scene in many directions. A short while later, the police brought the four people trapped in the hotel out and extinguished the fire.
The fire caused many properties on the 6th floor of the hotel to be completely burned. Initially, the cause of the fire may have been an electrical short circuit.
