On the morning of April 26, Secretary of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee Ngo Chi Cuong and the delegation of Tra Vinh province inspected the preparations at the Convention Center Square, where the ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification will take place; the 125th anniversary of the establishment of Tra Vinh province; the 65th anniversary of the Tra Vinh - Thai Binh twinning; receiving the Ho Chi Minh Medal; announcing the Prime Minister's Decision recognizing Tra Vinh province for completing the task of building new rural areas. Through the actual inspection, in general, the construction items are closely following the set schedule.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 65th anniversary of the Tra Vinh - Thai Binh twinning (March 20, 1960 - March 20, 2025) associated with the announcement of the Prime Minister's Decision recognizing Tra Vinh province as having completed the task of building new rural areas, Tra Vinh will have many activities such as: A special art program staged for 120 minutes with three main contents to honor the significance of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; celebrating the 65th anniversary of the Tra Vinh - Thai Binh twinning and announcing the Prime Minister's Decision on recognizing Tra Vinh province as having completed the task of building new rural areas.
The celebration took place on the evening of April 28. The highlight of the program was the Drone Light performance with 11 typical and characteristic images, vividly depicting the close relationship between the two provinces of Tra Vinh and Thai Binh as well as the outstanding achievements in the journey of building the homeland and the country, held for the first time in Tra Vinh. The program ended with a 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display, bringing a unique artistic performance to the people of Tra Vinh. This is also the largest-scale event ever in the province with about 1,500 delegates from inside and outside the province attending.

On this occasion, the province also carried out many commemorative activities such as: flower and incense offering ceremony to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs; information and propaganda programs such as: production of documentary series "Tra Vinh after 50 years of liberation" and "Tra Vinh - Thai Binh, loyal and steadfast, imbued with affection"; publishing a special issue of the newspaper to celebrate the event; organizing a thematic exhibition "50 years of Tra Vinh province's liberation and economic, cultural and social achievements since the province's re-establishment to date".
In addition, there are also exciting cultural, artistic, and sports activities and gratitude programs for families of war invalids, martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions, contributing to spreading the profound humanistic values of the event.
