TPO - At his mutant red-whiskered bulbul farm, Mr. Huy owns birds with prices up to 9 digits, has won prizes in many red-whiskered bulbul singing competitions and brought him dozens of motorbikes and electric bicycles.
The mutant starling farm of Mr. Le Quang Huy (born in 1986) - President of Tay Ho starling club is located in lane 41 An Duong Vuong (Tay Ho district, Hanoi).
The bird farm currently has about 200 mutant (albino) starlings imported from Thailand. The value of young birds is about 8-10 million VND, while the value of adult birds that have won many awards can be up to several hundred million VND.
Each cage has an area of about 10 square meters, with 24/7 camera monitoring.
Every year, Mr. Huy's bird farm breeds about 100 - 200 birds, bringing in revenue of several billion VND.
Bananas are a favorite food of starlings. Bananas provide a large amount of potassium and starch to help support the digestive and excretory systems.
Besides, rice worms are also an indispensable food source for starlings, especially during the training period for competition.
The bird farm also has a separate area to raise young starlings that are learning to sing. Here, each bird is raised separately in a bird cage. After "graduating", they are transferred to the concentrated cage area to live with the others.
In the new bird breeding area, Mr. Huy placed mini radios that played the sound of starlings 24/7 so the birds could practice singing.
The best quality birds at the farm will be brought home by Mr. Huy to directly raise and train to participate in singing competitions for red-whiskered bulbuls.
In the photo is a nine-figure "fighter" of Mr. Huy, which has brought him many prestigious awards.
Every day, he often lets the "fighters" practice fighting each other for about 15 minutes to train their fighting instincts.
According to Mr. Huy, before each tournament, the preparation stage accounts for 90% of the success. "In big tournaments, hundreds of starlings will compete with each other for 3-5 hours to choose the champion. It is very harsh. So the best preparation will bring the best results," said Mr. Huy.
