"Connection Summer Camp 2024" for students in difficult circumstances

Students from disadvantaged backgrounds are supported by the Pacific Links Foundation Scholarship Program

The Connecting Summer Camp is an annual event for students from the Skills Development andEducation Support Program (SEEDS) and the Girls Empowerment Scholarship Program in the Mekong Delta (GEMS), two long-term scholarship programs that support education and skills development for disadvantaged youth.

This year's summer camp with the message "Building a Brighter Tomorrow" is an opportunity to have fun, enhance self-study spirit, awaken openness and inspire action, making beautiful dreams of students come true in the future.

With topics focusing on 4 contents: Life skills, Self-awareness, New knowledge and career exploration , Opportunities and connections... students have the opportunity to connect and develop the mindset of a global citizen.

160 campers from 9 provinces in the Central and Southern regions participated in the summer camp.

This year, 160 campers from 9 provinces in the Central and Southern regions will meet with more than 40 volunteers from Vietnam and around the world to share some knowledge and experience for success.

In addition, campers also experience participating in group activities, sightseeing and competing together. The summer camp also has the participation of more than 80 volunteers who are teachers, students, and philanthropists from all over the country.

Developing learning and employment opportunities for young people

The Da Nang City Charity and Children's Rights Protection Association is a special association established over 25 years ago with the function of charity, care and education to protect children's rights, contributing to the implementation of the "4 Safe" program of Da Nang City. In recent times, the Association has cooperated with the Pacific Links Foundation - an American non-profit organization with over 20 years of experience in capacity building for women and adolescents, focusing on developing learning ability and employment opportunities to prevent human trafficking and forced labor.
