Local media reported that the experience was part of a project that combined "via ferrata" climbing with fixed cables and drinking coffee.
Photos shared on social media show the bed suspended in mid-air complete with mattress and pillows. Although the cliff is 1,600m above sea level, the actual location of the bed is only about 100m above the ground.
According to the scenic area's management board, visitors can only experience this unique service between 8am and 4:30pm (local time), and overnight guests are not allowed.
In addition, in bad weather conditions such as strong winds, rain or snow, the service will be suspended to ensure the safety of visitors.
Each experience will last from 30 to 40 minutes, enough for visitors to film or take "virtual life" photos. In addition, for the 98 yuan (over 350 thousand VND) service fee, visitors can also experience "via ferrata" climbing, enjoy a cup of fresh ground coffee with protective equipment, internal buses, insurance and "courage" certificates.
However, not everyone can experience this service. The regulations of the scenic area management board clearly state that players must be under 60 years old, over 1.4m tall, weigh no more than 100kg, and have a waistline of less than 100cm to use protective equipment.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. People with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or physical disabilities are not allowed to participate.
According to China National Radio , since it opened in late April, hundreds of young tourists have come to the Wuzhishan scenic area to experience the feeling of "sleeping among the ninth cloud".
