The provincial library is one of the meeting places that attracts many students during the summer. To meet the needs of readers, the provincial library prepares facilities; supplements rich sources of documents, suitable for the needs, interests and ages of students.
At the book lending room in a spacious, airy space with a huge amount of books neatly and scientifically arranged, many children were excited because they could freely choose suitable books for themselves and then absorbedly study them.
The most impressive thing about coming here is the quietness. Apart from the rustling sound of pages turning, there is the occasional whispering of a few friends discussing something they have just read.
As a regular reader of the Provincial Library, since the end of May, Nguyen Thuc Anh, a student at Hoang Le Primary School ( Hung Yen City), has been regularly coming to the Provincial Library to read books. Thuc Anh happily shared: During the summer, I come to the Provincial Library to read books every day. I really like coming here because the space is airy and quiet, and there are many friends with the same interests, so we often discuss good books.
At the Provincial Library, in a quiet space, fully equipped with light, fans, and air conditioning, children can comfortably immerse themselves in interesting stories, learn and explore the world through books and newspapers. Therefore, many parents feel quite secure when sending their children to the library during the summer.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan in Luong Bang town (Kim Dong) said: To keep my child away from electronic devices, at the end of May 2025, I made a library card for my child to borrow and read books. Surprisingly, after 2 weeks, every day my child asked to go to the library and left very early. When he came home, he happily told his parents about the books he had read that day. I am very happy that my child loves reading books, has a space to study and play in a healthy and useful way. The provincial library is neatly arranged, airy, clean, with guaranteed light, fans, and air conditioning to serve readers.
Ms. Phung Thi Van, staff of the Book Lending Room (Provincial Library) said: Every day, there are over 100 students coming to borrow and return books. The number of books and newspapers in the Book Lending Room is up to tens of thousands of copies, so, to attract readers, especially new readers, I proactively guide, orient, and advise so that readers can choose the books they love.
In the summer of 2025, to meet the reading needs of children, the Provincial Library has added over 1,000 books with rich content and attractive presentation such as: moral education comics, fairy tales, myths, stories about historical figures, children's literature works. At the same time, the Provincial Library also creates all conditions from equipment, facilities, updates books and reforms procedures for issuing and exchanging cards quickly so that readers always feel comfortable when coming here.
Ms. Hoang Thanh Tu, Head of the Professional Department (Provincial Library) said: During the summer, the number of students coming to the library increases many times compared to normal days, requiring us to be well prepared. In addition to assigning staff to be on duty at the book lending and returning counters, we also increase the number of staff to guide and support students in choosing suitable books. The reading space is also adjusted more flexibly, ensuring quiet for readers. In particular, to better serve readers, the Provincial Library is open all days of the week; free card making for students in June; organizing book drawing competitions.
Along with activities to “relax” by traveling, swimming, participating in gifted classes/groups, reading sessions at the library help students have a useful and interesting summer vacation. Hopefully, with innovations and creativity in the process of operation and the support of readers of all ages, the Provincial Library will always be an ideal, friendly, close, practical destination, contributing to building a learning society.
