Like the first time held in Cat Ba in 2022, OneWay Marathon Vung Tau 2023 continues to bring the message of joy that does not stop at the finish line to athletes. After finishing the competition on the roads, thousands of athletes will continue their journey to enjoy and explore the tourist city of Vung Tau.
Nguyen Thi Minh Hien - the champion of the 42km distance for women shared: “I am very happy to achieve the highest result at OneWay Vung Tau Marathon. But more special, I will have the opportunity to go swimming in the sea after winning the prize. My joy is therefore multiplied”.

OneWay Marathon Vung Tau 2023 has more than 5 thousand athletes participating. The tournament takes place near the April 30 - May 1 holiday and coincides with the tourist season in the coastal city of Vung Tau. Therefore, athletes and their relatives and friends also have plans to explore and experience famous landscapes and attractions before and after the race.
Many OneWay Marathon participants learned about the race while on a trip to Vung Tau. The race has thus become a highlight in the tourists’ journey of discovery.
“The organization of the OneWay Vung Tau Marathon 2023 is excellent. All the race courses are well prepared, with good security. Every area has organizers so I feel safe and focused on the competition. This is very necessary in Marathons.
The arrangement of the competition time for each distance is very reasonable, so that athletes of all categories can finish at the same time to receive medals. The running route is beautiful with the fresh and cool natural scenery of the coastal city", shared the champion of the 42 km distance for men, Le Tan Hi.
As an experienced runner on many routes across the country, Le Tan Hi highly appreciates the challenge that OneWay Marathon Vung Tau 2023 brings to him personally as well as other runners. The "Little Champion" believes that this is an interesting race, both challenging and providing an enjoyable experience for athletes.
He said: “ I am very happy to come to Vung Tau to participate in this year's tournament. The race track here is really good, quite flat. Some places are steep but that is an interesting challenge for runners. I really like OneWay Marathon and will arrange to participate in the next tournaments. In addition, I am aiming for international tournaments, that is the goal of every athlete”.

With their achievements, Tan Hi and Minh Hien received a prize worth 49 million VND. In which, the athletes received 10 million VND in cash, a pair of Adidas shoes, a visit to Phong Nha ( Quang Binh ) and a 6-day, 5-night tour to Korea.
OneWay Marathon Vung Tau 2023 took place this morning (April 23). The organizing committee awarded prizes worth more than 400 million VND to the champions and athletes with high achievements in 4 running distances: 42 km (full marathon), 21 km (half marathon), 10 km, 5 km.
In total, the Organizing Committee awarded more than 100 prizes to athletes according to distance, gender and age, worth more than 400 million VND along with many valuable items.
