When coming to Vietnam for tourism and business, heads of state, billionaires or famous artists all enjoy local specialties and experience local activities.

On the morning of March 4, American billionaire Bill Gates returned to Vietnam after 18 years. He and his girlfriend arrived in Da Nang on a Gulfstream G650ER private jet and stayed at a 5-star resort in Son Tra district. He also planned to visit Hoi An and have dinner.
In 2006, Bill Gates visited Vietnam for a one-day trip and met with representatives of the information technology industry. During that trip, Bill Gates spent a day visiting Tu Son district, Bac Ninh , and tried chewing betel and listening to Quan Ho folk songs.
At nearly 70 years old, Bill Gates still regularly spends time traveling everywhere. On his personal page, the American billionaire often posts about his trips combined with charity work, participating in environmental protection forums, and technology forums.

During his visit to Vietnam in March 2023, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh stayed at a resort in Hoa Binh, bathed in onsen, and enjoyed Muong cuisine. The room type Mr. Khurelsukh stayed at was Onsen Villa, 180 square meters wide, priced at 13-15 million VND per night. The Mongolian President enjoyed a "strongly Muong" menu with catfish spring rolls and stone-steamed river catfish at Non restaurant. Former US President Obama's trip to Vietnam in 2016 attracted special attention from Hanoians. In December 2011, during the Christmas holiday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife (then girlfriend) Priscilla Chan took a secret trip to Vietnam, visiting two famous attractions in the North: Ha Long Bay and Sa Pa.
Meta CEO rented a kayak to explore the bay and visit some famous caves of the world natural heritage. To distract the media, Mark Zuckerberg hired many shipping companies in Ha Long for sightseeing, and also booked rooms at many famous hotels such as Hon Gai and Novotel. Finally, Mark Zuckerberg decided to rent the Phoenix Fire ship to spend the night on the bay. After leaving Ha Long, Mark and his wife took a helicopter to Sa Pa, stayed at Topas Ecolodge, and visited Ho and Thanh Phu villages. The third time, the couple took Pax Thien to visit their hometown and relax in Con Dao in 2011. In December 2022, famous American singer Christina Aguilera, her fiancé Matthew Rutler and 8 friends departed from Gia Lam Airport, Hanoi, arriving at Tuan Chau, Ha Long 50 minutes later. In May 2019, Crown Princess Victoria Ingrid Alice Desiree of Sweden made an official visit to Vietnam, as the two countries celebrated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The Swedish crown princess and her husband spent time exploring Vietnamese street food, choosing a sidewalk restaurant on Kim Ma Thuong Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi to enjoy beef noodle soup. During his trip to Vietnam on the occasion of National Day, September 2, 2022, Man Utd legend Patrice Evra spent two days (September 2 and 3) booking a yacht on Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh. Patrice Evra's group of 18 people rented a private yacht on Ha Long and Lan Ha Bays for about 120 million VND for two days. In addition to the locations on the itinerary, Patrice Evra was allowed to adjust according to his personal needs when booking the entire yacht. He only had one small request: to go deeper into Lan Ha Bay, Hai Phong, to explore the most pristine beauty.
Following the journey to conquer Lan Ha Bay, the yacht took Patrice Evra to visit famous places such as Sang Toi Cave, Tra Bau, Ao Ech. In May 2023, famous Korean singer Lee Hyori performed at a music festival held in Ho Chi Minh City. This was the first time Lee Hyori had come to Vietnam to perform after more than 20 years of working in the arts. Before going on stage, the singer spent time exploring peaceful corners in Saigon. On her personal page, Lee Hyori posted a photo of herself participating in a yoga class in a green space in Thao Dien, Thu Duc City.
Lee Hyori also posted a photo exploring Alley 28 Thao Dien, a familiar check-in spot for Saigon youth. The alley is home to restaurants, cafes, clothing stores, and handicraft shops, designed in a wooden house style, surrounded by lush green trees.
The "10 Minutes" singer took advantage of her short time in Vietnam to enjoy local cuisine like a local.
