'Crazy' match at Club World Cup

With the decisive nature of a match for a ticket to the next round, both Porto and Al Ahly played hard right from the opening whistle. In the first half, there were 3 goals scored. Mora opened the scoring for Porto in the 23rd minute, but Abou Ali's double in the 15th and 45+2 minutes helped Al Ahly come back and lead 2-1 before half-time.

The match became more exciting as it entered the second half. Both teams scored consecutive goals against each other. Abou Ali completed his hat-trick with a goal in the 51st minute. Then, in the 64th minute, Al Ahly scored their fourth goal against Porto thanks to Romdhane's effort.

However, the representative from Europe rose strongly and scored consecutive goals thanks to the brilliance of Gomes, Aghehowa and Pepe.

In the remaining minutes, Porto increased the tempo in the hope of finding the decisive goal to defeat Al Ahly, but encountered a tight defense from the Egyptian representative. The final result was a 4-4 draw, creating the most dramatic match so far at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™.

The result means that both Porto and Al Ahly are eliminated in the group stage. In the same match, Inter Miami and Palmeiras also drew 2-2, thereby leading both teams to the knockout round.

With top spot in the group, Palmeiras will face Botafogo in the round of 16 of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup™, while Inter Miami will take on PSG. Lionel Messi will have the chance to meet his old team again in the next round.
