Agribank accompanies the education career

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Along with the business mission, serving well for rural agricultural credit, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - Nam Thanh Hoa Branch (Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa) is also a pioneer in implementing social security projects, especially activities supporting education. Spacious schools, new bookcases, computers and school equipment in many localities in the province,... all bear the mark of Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa.

Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa handed over the social security project of Hai Linh Primary School (Nghi Son town).

Recently, Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa has sponsored 100% of the construction cost of the social security project Hai Linh Primary School (Nghi Son town) with a scale of 2 floors, 10 classrooms meeting national standards and other auxiliary items built spaciously, ensuring standards of technology, safety and learning environment. The classrooms are all equipped with teaching and learning equipment including writing boards, desks and chairs for teachers and students. This is one of the largest and most valuable social security projects that Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa has ever sponsored, with a total value of nearly 6.3 billion VND.

Over the years, Yen Tho Secondary School has achieved high achievements in theeducation and training career of Nhu Thanh district. Although it has received investment from the State budget, in order to meet the requirements of teaching and learning, especially in the context of implementing the new general education program and promoting digital transformation in the education sector, the school needs to continue upgrading its facilities and equipment. Understanding the needs of the school, Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa has donated to the school a library with equipment such as computers, reading tables and chairs, bookcases and learning equipment with a total value of 210 million VND. Teacher Pham Anh Tuan, Principal of Yen Tho Secondary School, shared: “The gifts donated by Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa are not only support for the school, but also a positive message about the concern of businesses for education. We hope that the message will spread, encouraging organizations and individuals to join hands to contribute to the cause of education”.

Not only the program "More letters, less poverty", Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa also implements many other social security programs with a total amount of 25 billion VND from 2020 to present. Of which, about 13 billion VND is spent on education to build a number of projects, such as: sponsoring the construction of Quang Hop Secondary School (Quang Xuong) worth 6 billion VND; donating a bookcase and learning equipment for the project "More letters, less poverty" worth 210 million VND at Yen Tho Secondary School (Nhu Thanh); donating a bookcase and learning equipment worth 100 million VND to the Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in Thuong Xuan district; donated computers to some schools in Quang Xuong district... In addition, the Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa Youth Union also promoted the movement of caring for youth, teenagers, and children with many activities such as visiting, encouraging, and giving gifts to children of officials and civil servants in the agency, children in difficult circumstances, children who are victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, orphans with no place to rely on, sick children at hospitals; giving scholarships, bicycles, computer rooms, donating books, school supplies, clothes... to policy beneficiaries, families, and children. The implementation of the programs was surveyed by Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa and grasped the actual needs of schools, therefore, the gifts given were very practical including: books, bookcases, desks and chairs, water purifiers, air conditioners, fans, internet connection devices, computers, televisions, scholarships, funding for the construction of classrooms, functional rooms... to support teaching and learning at each school.

Ms. Trinh Thi Kim Lien, Deputy Director, Chairwoman of Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa Trade Union, said: “The gifts that Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa sent to schools in the past time are the bank's concern for the young generation, contributing to creating better conditions for schools to organize teaching and apply technology in the teaching and learning process. At the same time, it demonstrates Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa's responsibility to the community through implementing educational security activities. Along with strengthening teaching and learning facilities, through implementing the program "More letters, less poverty", Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa wishes to create conditions for students to receive modern learning methods, apply information technology in teaching and learning, contributing to building and developing the reading movement in schools".
