Speaking at the ceremony, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Cong Nghiep - Permanent Vice President of the school said that 8 years ago, the training majors under the Health Sector were established, opening a new development stage of Hanoi University of Business and Technology.

To date, the entire block has over 2,500 Vietnamese and Laotian students registered for admission, of which nearly 600 have graduated. Survey results show that 100% of graduates have jobs in their majors, currently working at hospitals, medical centers, research facilities and specialized clinics across the country.

After graduating, Lao students are immediately hired to work at state-run medical facilities, some of them are hired to work at major hospitals in the capital Vientiane. All of them are highly regarded by their employers for their professional competence and work ethics.

In the 2022-2023 school year alone, 336 students have completed their training program. This time, the school held the first graduation ceremony for new doctors, university pharmacists and nursing bachelors, many of whom graduated with excellent grades and were awarded by the school.

Compared to other courses, this is one of the courses that students have to face difficult conditions due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic during their studies. To ensure safety in disease prevention and control, there was a period when all students of the school switched to online learning, but health students, due to the requirements of their major, still had to study in person and do internships at hospitals. Many students and teachers actively participated in the fight against the epidemic at medical facilities in wards, districts and hospitals.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tuong - Permanent Deputy Head of the Faculty of Medicine spoke.

At the Ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tuong - Permanent Deputy Head of the Faculty of Medicine read the summary report on the training work of the Health Block.

Accordingly, this year's graduates from the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Faculty of Nursing are students who have gone through school years still suffering from the aftereffects of the COVID-19 pandemic because during this period, to respond to the epidemic prevention work, students cannot go to the hospital. Therefore, some courses, especially those of the majors, must be postponed until July 2023 and students will not finish their graduation exams and thesis defense until the end of September 2023.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tuong, graduating students are only awarded a degree, in order to practice, they must undergo an 18-month internship at a medical facility before being granted a practice certificate. After being granted a practice certificate, the doctor can officially practice medicine.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Lien - parent of student Tran Thu Hang, a second-year student majoring in Medicine, expressed her deep gratitude to the teachers of Hanoi University of Business and Technology who have devoted themselves to teaching and educating her children during the past 6 years.

"During the 12 years of studying at all levels, then when choosing a school for the children to attend, the family was very worried and troubled. But then with the advice of friends, teachers, previous generations of students and after learning about the school, the family decided to let the children give up at Hanoi University of Public Health, where they had studied for 2 years and received a scholarship, to pursue their dream of becoming a student of the Faculty of General Medicine of Hanoi University of Business and Technology, a top university in the non-public school block", Ms. Lien shared.

The graduation ceremony ended in a joyful atmosphere, filled with smiles from the students. Wishing you all success on the path you have chosen.
