Speaking at the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association Nguyen Tan Phong said that exactly 100 years ago, on June 21, 1925, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc founded Thanh Nien Newspaper, giving birth to our country's Revolutionary Press.
The Vietnamese Revolutionary Press has gone through a glorious century of growth and development. Up to now, the press has always accompanied the nation, with the noble mission and great responsibility of serving the revolution and the people.

Together with journalists across the country, the team of journalists in Ho Chi Minh City has strived to overcome all difficulties and challenges, always sticking to the principles and goals, constantly innovating, creating, actively transforming the digital press, thereby contributing significantly to the completion of assigned tasks.
With a sense of responsibility, discipline and enthusiasm, journalists have strived to create many high-quality journalistic works, leaving positive and memorable impressions, contributing to promoting solidarity and social consensus.
The Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, together with newspapers and radio stations, has become a bridge between members and Party committees, Party organizations and authorities at all levels; affirming that the press is an important resource in implementing the Party's policies and the State's laws.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, emphasized that over the past 50 years, the Ho Chi Minh City press has constantly innovated, demonstrated steadfast political mettle, sharpness in reflection, and pioneered in protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
Ho Chi Minh City Press has affirmed its role as a bridge between the Party and the people, a driving force serving social consensus in the period of innovation and integration. Ho Chi Minh City Press has strongly transformed itself towards professionalism, humanity and modernity, closely following reality, actively propagating the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
Ho Chi Minh City press has contributed to promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people in Ho Chi Minh City to international friends, enhancing Vietnam's position in the international arena.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized that to realize the aspirations for development goals and the role of the city, the city's press needs to continue to promote its pioneering, creative and socially responsible role.
Accordingly, the City Press continues to maintain its political orientation, strictly implement the leadership, direction, and information and propaganda orientation of the Party, State, and City; properly implement its principles and purposes, comply with the law; and provide truthful and timely information on all aspects of social life.
The City Press continues to carry out the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, policies and guidelines, the State's legal policies, creating social consensus, protecting the truth, protecting the interests of the country, the nation and the people; preventing and combating negativity, acting as a bridge to spread the aspiration for development and belief in the bright future of the country...

This year, the Ho Chi Minh City Press Awards received 285 press works, the most ever in the awards. All works were invested with all their heart, mind, and strength, demonstrating the highest sense of responsibility for the development of the city.
As a result, the City awarded prizes to 72 works of authors and groups of authors in the following groups of topics: Party building; Collective works; Political commentary; Interviews, reports, quick notes; Press news and photos; Reportage, investigative reportage, Journalism, Documentary.
