Awarding ceremony of "Press writing about the transport industry" for the 4th time

This morning (August 28), the Ministry of Transport held the 4th Award Ceremony for Journalism Writing on the Transport Industry (2022-2023) and launched the 5th Award (2023-2024).

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang assessed that this year's entries were carefully and seriously prepared, reflecting truthfully and touching on many hot and current issues of the industry, conveying many profound and meaningful messages about the transport industry.

According to the Minister, after 4 years of organization, the journalism award on the transport sector has become a prestigious award, the quality of the works participating in the award is highly appreciated, and the award structure is attractive.

The award not only creates a great spread but also contributes to creating a closer connection between the Ministry of Transport and press agencies, reporters and journalists following the industry.

Through the press works participating in the Award, the Transport sector is encouraged and shared, and it is also an opportunity for the Ministry of Transport to review and adjust the state management work of the sector to better suit the actual situation, complete assigned tasks well, and better meet the needs of people and businesses.

According to the Organizing Committee, after 1 year of launching, the award attracted nearly 280 works (an increase of more than 50 works compared to the third time) from nearly 60 central and local press agencies (an increase of more than 10 press agencies) to submit works.

Through two preliminary and final rounds, the Organizing Committee has selected 25 excellent works to award prizes. According to the Jury, this year's entries are of good quality and have received more investment from newspapers than in previous years.

Many works are carefully invested in both content and form, with fresh perspectives that truly attract readers to major issues, important current events as well as the achievements of the transport sector since the country's renovation. Many articles have new initiatives, proposals, and ideas that contribute to the development of the transport sector.

The highlight of this year's competition is that there are nearly 100 long-term series, many of which are 4-5 part series, invested in carefully and systematically. Many reportage, recording and reflection works are invested in carefully in terms of content quality, not only stating the current situation but also pointing out the limitations, shortcomings, weaknesses and proposing highly convincing solutions, through information recorded from the actual breath of reporters and journalists.

Many works are presented vividly, attractively, and eye-catchingly in modern forms, attracting readers such as: Longform, E-Magazine, Infographics, Photo Reportage...

Therefore, the Organizing Committee and the Jury decided to increase the number of First Prizes from 1 to 2; Second Prizes from 2 to 3 (no special prize). On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also launched the 5th "Press Writing about the Transport Industry" Award (2023-2024).
