Awarding Vallet Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year

(QBĐT) - On the occasion of welcoming the new school year 2024-2025, on the afternoon of September 3, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education in coordination with the "Meeting Vietnam Organization" organized the awarding of Vallet scholarships - talented scholarships for students of the three provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Ha Tinh .

At the ceremony, 212 students from 3 provinces received Vallet scholarships with a total value of over 3 billion VND, of which 126 students from Quang Binh province received scholarships, with a total value of over 2 billion VND; each scholarship is 29 million VND/student and 15 million VND/student (an increase of 1 million VND compared to the 2023-2024 school year).

Vallet Scholarship was founded by French scientist - Professor Odon Vallet and donated a large part of his assets to this organization to award scholarships to excellent students from disadvantaged backgrounds at high schools and universities in France, Germany and Vietnam.

This is a large-scale scholarship that has been operating for a long time in our country (23 consecutive years) to help excellent and talented students with difficult circumstances nationwide.

From 2001-2024, the Odon Vallet scholarship has awarded over 55,000 scholarships with a total value of nearly 500 billion VND; the scale has increased steadily each year in both the number and value of scholarships.

In the 2024-2025 school year alone, over 2,000 high school students and graduate students nationwide will receive scholarships worth over 40 billion VND.

Through this valuable source of funding, we have encouraged, motivated and created favorable conditions to support students to continue their studies, fostering the talents of the younger generation; many Vietnamese students are confident to excel in their studies; 100% of students receiving Vallet scholarships pass university entrance exams; many students are valedictorians in universities every year and then are excellent students selected to study abroad.
