Donated 14 bicycles to poor students overcoming difficulties

On the afternoon of June 5, the Women's Union of Hong Tien Ward (Pho Yen City) organized a bicycle donation ceremony for disadvantaged students who are striving to study well in the area.

Women's Union of Hong Tien Ward (Pho Yen City) donated bicycles to poor students who overcame difficulties.

In the program, 14 poor students who overcame difficulties were each given a bicycle. On this occasion, the Women's Union of Hong Tien Ward also presented a bicycle to a female member in difficult circumstances.

Each bicycle costs 1.7 million VND, the cost of which is taken from the fund of the model "Three days of saving 1,000 VND" implemented by the Women's Union of Hong Tien Ward since 2016, to spread the spirit of mutual love and support for disadvantaged women and children in the area.

From the fund of the model, up to now, the Women's Union of the ward has donated 13 breeding cows (with a total value of about 180 million VND) to poor members to develop the economy ; at the same time, many meaningful gifts have been given to children and students in difficult circumstances.

This activity not only helps poor students continue their studies, but also affirms the role of the women's association in social security work in the locality.
