Child abuse to the point of mental panic

Regarding the case of a student abusing a friend at Dai Dong Secondary School (Thach That District), on October 27, a representative of the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training said that the unit had sent a document to the Department of Education and Training of Thach That District.

The Department requests the Department of Education and Training of Thach That district to urgently inspect, verify, clarify the incident, seriously learn from experience and strictly handle (if there are violations);

Strengthening direction, management, and building school culture; closely coordinating between schools and families; promptly grasping activities, not allowing incidents to affect the reputation and educational work of the school.

Also related to the above incident, the People's Committee of Thach That district also requested a review of the responsibility of the school's board of directors for allowing the incident to occur and not resolving it thoroughly.

Thach That District People's Committee has directed the Department of Education and Training, District Police, Dai Dong Commune People's Committee, Dai Dong Commune Police and the school to focus on resolving the incident.

According to a report from the Department of Education and Training of Thach That district, during the summer break of the 2022-2023 school year until September 2023, student VVTK, a 7C student at Dai Dong Secondary School, was beaten many times by classmates in the same grade.

Because of fear, K. did not report the incident to her teachers or parents. It was not until September 16, 2023 that her family and school learned of the incident. The school determined that 6 students participated in beating K.

The family took K. to the National Children's Hospital for treatment. The examination results showed that K. had dissociative disorder.

The school has taken disciplinary action against the students who beat their friends. The families of the students who beat K. have discussed and agreed on ways to remedy the consequences.
