According to the school principal, teacher M.'s actions were wrong, violated regulations, and were not permitted for teachers. The school has suspended teacher M. from teaching for one week.

On the evening of December 26th, a parent posted online stating that her child, K., a third-grade student at La Khe Primary School (Ha Dong district, Hanoi), was subjected to "physical assault" on the face, hands, and neck by the teacher during a physical education class.
Parents say their child was subjected to "physical abuse" by the teacher.
Ms. NNL stated that, according to her child's account, on the morning of December 24th, during a physical education class taught by teacher M., her child was dragged down the stairs by both legs, kicked in the neck and shoulders with a shoe, and slapped in the face.
"While my child and their friends were playing, teacher M. pulled K. aside and dragged K.'s legs from one stair step to another. When K. resisted by grabbing onto the stair railing, the teacher used her shoe-covered foot to kick K. in the shoulder and neck, causing injuries."
"Next, the teacher verbally abused and slapped my child in the face. After my child cried, Ms. M. took my child out of the classroom and left her alone in the hallway following these actions in the multi-purpose hall," Ms. L. reported.
The parent stated that after the incident, K. went home and told the family. The parent contacted teacher M. directly to hear her explanation.
On December 25th, the family had a meeting with the school principal to discuss the matter.
"The family has been very cooperative in resolving the emotional issues between the family and the school and requested the CCTV footage from December 24th, but after three days, there has been no specific response and we haven't been allowed to view the footage," the parent complained.
The school announces the results of the camera footage review.
On the evening of December 27th, La Khe Primary School released official information regarding the complaints from parents of students.
According to the school, on December 24th, during the end-of-semester 1 physical education test for class 3A7, held in the multi-purpose hall and taught by teacher D.HM, several students in the class were constantly playing around and not concentrating during the test, including student N.D.K.
"Due to concerns about the class's test progress, the teacher took student K. out of the multi-purpose hall and handed him over to the homeroom teacher of class 3A7 to supervise, so as not to affect the test of other students."
During the lesson, student K. was not listening and resisted fiercely, so the teacher left the student outside the multi-purpose hall while she returned to the hall to continue checking on the remaining students. At the end of the lesson, teacher M. sent the students back to their classrooms and observed that student K. was still playing with her friends normally," the school stated.
On December 25th, parents reported the incident to the school's administration. After speaking with the parents, the school met privately with teacher M., requesting her to write a report detailing the incident.
"On the morning of December 27th, the principal of La Khe Primary School invited parents of students to the school, along with representatives from the police and the Department of Education and Training, to publicly release the camera footage from the end-of-semester 1 physical education test for class 3A7, conducted by teacher M. on December 24th in the multi-purpose classroom."
The recorded footage shows teacher M. dragging the student out of the multi-purpose hall. The student resisted, refusing to go, and was seen collapsing onto the floor. Afterwards, the teacher returned to continue the test with the remaining students.
Throughout the entire period of camera surveillance, during the entire class session in the multi-purpose hall, there was no footage of Ms. M. hitting students as reported on social media. Since there are no cameras in the hallway of the multi-purpose hall, there is no footage of the incident occurring outside of that hallway.
"At this time, the school continues to coordinate with the Department of Education and the Ha Dong District Police to verify the incident," the school said.
The school further stated that, following the incident, they decided to temporarily suspend teacher M. from her duties for one week to verify the facts. They also required her to write a report, self-criticism, and continue to apologize to the student's family.
The principal said the teacher admitted to slapping the student.
Earlier, in an interview with Tuoi Tre Online on the afternoon of December 27, Ms. Bui Thi Chuyen, principal of La Khe Primary School in Ha Dong district, said that this morning the family of parent L., teacher D.HM, and the school had a direct meeting.
According to Ms. Chuyen, there were no cameras outside the multi-purpose room hallway, so it was impossible to record what happened outside. However, in her report after the incident, teacher M. affirmed that she did not kick, stomp, or drag K., but admitted to slapping the student once because the student resisted.
The school principal said the teacher also acknowledged that dragging the student out of the classroom and slapping him was wrong.
"That action was wrong, the teacher admitted her mistake, violating regulations; teachers are not allowed to do that. The school has temporarily suspended teacher M. from teaching since December 25th for self-reflection and investigation into the incident," Ms. Chuyen said.
Ms. Chuyen added that student K. is in stable health and is attending classes as usual.
