At the festival, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health summarized and evaluated the effectiveness of the implementation of the Pilot Practice Program at General Hospitals associated with Health Stations - Course 3, drawing lessons to serve as a basis for adjusting and replicating the model in the coming time. At the same time, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements were commended and rewarded, and young doctors who completed the program received a Practice License.
Here, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced the decision to establish Tu Du Hospital, branch 2, in Can Gio commune.
Speaking at the festival, Dr. Nguyen Van Vinh Chau, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, said that the city's public health system after the merger has 32 general hospitals, 28 specialized hospitals, 11 specialized centers, 15 social protection centers and 38 regional health centers, serving the health of about 14 million people. However, the ratio of hospital beds, doctors and nurses per 10,000 people is uneven between regions I, II and III. Therefore, attracting and training a team of young doctors, especially those who have completed their internship program at health stations, is becoming more urgent. In addition, the existing commune and ward health stations after the arrangement have 168 health stations corresponding to the new administrative units and 296 satellite health stations. The goal is to ensure that each new health station will have at least 2 doctors or more.
