To commemorate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd (1945-2024), and to celebrate the founding day of Party committees and Party committee offices, this morning, August 29th, the Emulation Bloc of Party agencies in Quang Tri province solemnly organized a ceremony to pay respects, offer incense and flowers to the heroic martyrs at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, Highway 9 Cemetery, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, and the Le Duẩn Memorial Area. The Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, and Head of the Emulation Bloc of Party agencies, Truong Duc Minh Tu, along with leaders of agencies and units within the Party Bloc, attended the ceremony.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere at the Truong Son and Duong 9 National Martyrs' Cemeteries, the delegation of leaders and officials from the Party's agencies' emulation bloc laid wreaths and offered incense at the memorials to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed themselves in the two wars for national independence and freedom, and for the happiness of the people. After the incense offering ceremony at the memorials, the delegation lit incense at the graves, expressing their profound gratitude to the heroic martyrs.

Organizing a ceremony to lay flowers and incense at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Memorial, the delegation of the Party's emulation bloc expressed gratitude and commemorated the contributions of the heroic martyrs who fell during the 81-day and 81-night campaign to defend the Ancient Citadel.

The Quang Tri Citadel has inscribed a glorious milestone in the nation's history, showcasing revolutionary heroism through the courageous and tenacious battle to defend the citadel and Quang Tri town during the fiery summer of 1972 by our army and people, making a significant contribution to the victory of the national liberation struggle and the reunification of the country.

At the Le Duẩn Memorial Area, the delegation laid flowers and incense and expressed their gratitude and respect for General Secretary Le Duẩn, an outstanding leader of the Party, an excellent disciple of President Ho Chi Minh , and an exemplary son of Quang Tri who made many important contributions to the struggle for the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

* Earlier, at Quang Tri Newspaper, the Party Agencies' Emulation Bloc organized the awarding of 15 gift packages, each worth 1.2 million VND (including 1 million VND in cash and gifts), to individuals in special circumstances, such as elderly people living alone, orphaned children without guardians, those who have suffered accidents or serious illnesses and are unable to work, and those whose finances are depleted, thus in great need of social support to survive.

Mr. Le Xuan Tuyen (born in 1985), residing in Hoa Phu hamlet, Ho Xa town, Vinh Linh district, emotionally said: “Since being diagnosed with transverse myelitis in 2007, my life has been fraught with difficulties. I have tried very hard, overcoming the sadness of a broken family and the pain caused by the disease to make a living. Receiving this meaningful gift, I am very happy and would like to express my most sincere gratitude to the Emulation Bloc of Party agencies. This gift not only helps me to better care for my health and my children, but also serves as a great encouragement for me to have more joy and motivation to strive in life.”

Also at the gift-giving program of the Provincial Agencies' Emulation Bloc, Quang Tri Newspaper combined the event with the handover of nearly 13 million VND donated by benefactors to directly support the cases featured in the Quang Tri Weekend Newspaper, aiming to call for community support.
Quang Tri Newspaper thanks its readers for helping those in difficult circumstances featured in the newspaper and hopes to continue receiving the attention of society for these unfortunate individuals.
