Construction of 500kV Quang Tri Transformer Station

(PLVN) - On March 20, 2024, in Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) organized the construction of the Quang Tri 500kV transformer station and the Quang Tri - Vung Ang - Da Nang connection line.

Speaking at the construction launch ceremony, EVNNPT Board Member Vo Hoai Nam thanked the close guidance of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Quang Tri province. The support and coordination of the leaders of departments, branches and districts of the province as well as the people who gave up land for EVNNPT to implement the project. EVNNPT leaders also praised CPMB for its efforts and good coordination with the authorities of Quang Tri province and Hai Lang district in agreeing on the route, approving the design, compensation and site clearance... to organize the project implementation.

EVNNPT requires CPMB to focus on management and operation, closely monitor quality, and coordinate well with local authorities during the construction process so that the project is completed on schedule and in strict compliance with legal regulations.

Contractors have arranged sufficient human resources, materials, machinery and equipment for construction at the site, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, ready to speed up progress. They proactively coordinate with CPMB and local authorities at all levels in compensation for site clearance for construction, promptly report difficulties and problems so that all parties can participate in resolving them; Organize construction with the goal of acceptance and energization in the second quarter of 2025.

The construction quality supervision consultant unit arranges forces to supervise and accept the construction steps, ensuring the construction progress of the construction contractors. Immediately implement the acceptance of completed items to shorten the progress of acceptance and handover of electricity. The design consultant unit assigns author supervision staff to be present at the site regularly to promptly handle arising problems, ensuring the construction progress of the contractor.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee - Le Duc Tien said: Quang Tri province is always aware of the importance and urgency of the Quang Tri 500kV transformer station project and the connecting line passing through the province. Recently, the provincial leaders have directed departments, branches and localities to actively participate in handing over the site to the investor to implement the project.

The leaders of Quang Tri province pledged to always accompany, support and share work with the Electricity sector to jointly complete the project on schedule. At the same time, they requested the departments and branches of the Hai Lang District People's Committee to coordinate in completing detailed handover procedures for the line, step up propaganda work for the people, and prevent the emergence of houses and constructions within the agreed power line corridor; and approve the compensation price for site clearance.

At the same time, create maximum conditions for investors in compensation for site clearance, meeting project progress targets; ensure sufficient land fund for project implementation. Create conditions to support construction units related to compensation work for construction; allow construction units to use inter-village, inter-commune, inter-district roads... to transport materials and equipment for construction with the highest goal of completing the project on schedule.

The Quang Tri 500kV transformer station project and the Quang Tri - Vung Ang - Da Nang connecting line were assigned by Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) to EVNNPT as the investor, CPMB on behalf of EVNNPT to manage the project. The project has a total investment of VND 965 billion. The 500kV transformer station is built in Hai Truong commune, Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province, about 2.5km northeast of the existing 500kV Vung Ang - Da Nang line.
