Photo exhibition 'The steadfast friendship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam'

On April 30, in the capital Tashkent, Uzbekistan, an archival photo exhibition with the theme "The steadfast friendship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam" opened.

The photo exhibition 'The steadfast friendship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam' was organized at the initiative of the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), in the capital city of Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan, an archival photo exhibition with the theme "The steadfast friendship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam" opened.

The exhibition is organized at the initiative of the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association in coordination with the Committee for Inter-ethnic Relations and Compatriots Abroad and the Archives of Uzbekistan (Uzarchive), the Academy of Arts and the Tashkent Association of Photographers.

The exhibition was attended by Chairman of the Committee for Inter-ethnic Relations and Compatriots Abroad Sariev KR; Director of the State Archive of Uzbekistan for Film, Photo and Audio Documents Abdullajanova Z.Kh., Academician Nuriddinov AV; President of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and President of the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association Mukhamedov AR. The exhibition was also attended by representatives of friendship personalities, university students and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Tashkent.

A large number of visitors attended the photo exhibition 'The steadfast friendship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam'.

The exhibition displays historical photos of Vietnamese students' years of study in Uzbekistan, visits by high-ranking Vietnamese delegations, as well as the participation of Vietnamese artists and art activists at the International Film Festival of Asian, African and Latin American Countries, held in Uzbekistan.

Notably, the event unveiled many historical photos of President Ho Chi Minh's 1959 visit to Uzbekistan. This is the first time these photos have been displayed to the Uzbek public.

Another photo captures President Ho Chi Minh receiving a delegation of Uzbek lawyers at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi , including famous lawyer Rustam Mukhamedov.

Speaking at the Exhibition, speakers highlighted the importance of this activity in strengthening the traditional friendship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam and further developing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, culture, tourism and economy .

According to Chairman of the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association Mukhamedov AR, Uzbekistan and Vietnam are two countries with a long history of relations and two brotherly peoples. More than 3,500 Vietnamese students have studied at educational institutions in Uzbekistan and are sincere friends of Uzbekistan, playing an important role in strengthening the friendship between the people of the two countries.
