The event is a gathering place for the love of Hanoi of 9 domestic and international photographers, through 36 unique photos, recording images of Hanoi from the past to the present.

The 9 photographers participating in the exhibition include William E. Crawford (USA), Nicolas Cornet (France), Nguyen Huu Bao, Hoai Linh, Dong Hieu, Le Anh Dung, Le Xuan Phong, Ngo Lam Thanh and Vu Khoi Nguyen.

The exhibition introduces 36 photos, selected from more than 200 works in the 200-page photo book of the same name, edited by photographer Nicolas Cornet and published by the News Publishing House. The works reflect everyday and unique slices of Hanoi, from the old streets, street vendors, alleys to lakes, bridges and even the people who carry the unique mark of this land.

What is special about the book “Oh Hanoi” is the way the content is organized by topic instead of the author’s name. The book is divided into five parts: “Water”, “Color”, “Taste”, “Character” and “Love”. Each part is a unique slice of Hanoi, reflecting the typical aspects of the city, from natural scenery, cultural colors, culinary flavors to human personality and deep attachment. Although each part has its own perspective, they all share a common thread - the love for Hanoi remains intact, regardless of time or changes in life.
French photographer Nicolas Cornet shared: “Since my first visit to Hanoi in 1987, I have been fascinated by the warmth of the people and the hidden beauty of this city. Hanoi has changed a lot over time, but the love remains intact. This is where I have close friends, they taught me Vietnamese, how to live and made this place my second family”.

Besides the beautiful perspectives, the exhibition also reflects the diversity in the perception of Hanoi through the works of photographer Nguyen Huu Bao. He expressed his photography perspective: “I do not want to only capture the splendid and splendid beauty of Hanoi, but also the hidden corners in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. My photos are not Hanoi with bright lights, but an unadorned Hanoi, containing love, hate, joy, and anger. Each photo carries its own emotions, not completely following aestheticism. In it, there is me, there are feelings, there is a view of my own life”.
The exhibition lasts until May 18.
