Heroic martyr To Vinh Dien was a brave soldier of Regiment 367, now part of Division 367 (Air Defense - Air Force). His heroic sacrifice when he used his body to block artillery fire during the Dien Bien Phu Campaign has gone down in history and become a symbol of Vietnamese revolutionary heroism.
On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2025) and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of To Vinh Dien Primary School (1960 -2025), with the desire to express deep gratitude to the legendary hero whose name the school is honored to bear, the school has built a plan to carry out the project to honor Hero Martyr To Vinh Dien at the house where he was born and raised in his hometown of Nong Truong commune (Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province).
The project started in early May 2025 and was completed with the joint efforts of teachers, Air Defense Divisions 367 and 361, Giap Ty 1984 Business Association, and the school's partners.
The project includes main items such as: Repainting the entire house and surrounding fence; wood paneling, installing spotlights in the souvenir display area; a relief depicting the heroic sacrifice of Hero To Vinh Dien; a portrait of Hero To Vinh Dien made of precious stones; an altar...

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Party Cell Secretary and Principal of To Vinh Dien Primary School, Ha Ngoc Lan, said: In 1959, Division 367 built To Vinh Dien Primary School in Dong Da District (Hanoi). After 65 years of establishment and development, the school has always been proud of the school named after Hero To Vinh Dien and has made constant efforts in the cause of education and training to create generations of students with intelligence and patriotism.
To carry out the project, the Board of Directors and the school came up with ideas and designed the project; contacted Division 361, Division 367, and the Air Defense - Air Force Museum to collect historical documents about Heroic Martyr To Vinh Dien.
“This is a practical act, showing gratitude and educating the moral of “When drinking water, remember its source” so that the school’s teachers and students can appreciate the sacrifices of their ancestors for independence, freedom and a peaceful life today,” Ms. Ha Ngoc Lan shared.

Expressing his sincere thanks to the school and its sister units, the martyr's nephew - Mr. To Vinh Chau expressed: "The valuable contributions, both spiritual and material, of the units not only show gratitude to those who sacrificed for the Fatherland, but are also a great source of encouragement for our family."
