Exhibition and tour "Youth and community action to adapt to climate change"

(CTO) - The event aims to contribute to creating a space for connection and spreading practical solutions to adapt to climate change in the community and among youth.

On November 27, at Can Tho University, the Green Development Support Center (GreenHub) coordinated with partners to organize an exhibition and study tour with the theme "Youth and community action to adapt to climate change".


Students of Tran Hung Dao Secondary School introduced paintings designed from newspaper on the topic of environmental protection and climate change adaptation.

The event aims to contribute to creating a space for connection and spreading practical solutions to adapt to climate change in the community and among youth.

At the exhibition, the Organizing Committee displayed recycled products from cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and propaganda pictures on environmental protection created from newspapers, leaves, etc. by teachers and students of Tran Hung Dao Secondary School and To Hien Thanh Primary School.

Students visit the recycled materials display model of To Hien Thanh Primary School and accumulate points to exchange for gifts.

The exhibition also introduces projects and models of climate change adaptation from students of Can Tho University, focusing on solutions for waste reduction, water level management and warning, support for smart agricultural production, urban flood monitoring and warning; initiatives on active education training to help young people raise awareness of environmental protection and climate change adaptation; green career trends in Vietnam. At each booth, there are also games of reasoning and exploration on the topic of environment, climate change adaptation and meaningful gifts for participants.

On this occasion, the organizers carried out a tour to the Abavina natural farming community in Truong Long commune, Can Tho city, to learn about practical models of action to adapt to climate change, create green livelihoods, accompany rural women in community building, develop natural farming models, and adapt to climate change in the Mekong Delta.
