The National Achievements Exhibition with the theme "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi) has officially closed after nearly 20 days, leaving a deep echo in the hearts of the people and international friends.

This is one of the most important political , cultural and social events ever organized on the largest scale, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Opening on August 28 with the participation of General Secretary To Lam , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other leaders, former leaders of the Party and State, and many delegates, the exhibition quickly became a special cultural and historical meeting place.

During its opening, the event welcomed more than 10 million visitors, including a peak day of nearly 1.3 million people (September 13) - a record number showing unprecedented attraction. From the elderly to children, from veterans to students, from domestic people to overseas Vietnamese and international friends, all shared the same pride and emotion before the glorious 80-year journey of the nation.

The exhibition brings together 28 ministries, branches, central agencies, 34 localities, more than 110 enterprises, economic groups and hundreds of booths. Not only does it comprehensively reflect the outstanding achievements in politics, economics, culture, society, science - technology, national defense - security, foreign affairs..., the exhibition also clearly depicts the strength of great national unity, the spirit of innovation and the strong aspiration to rise of our people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition with the theme: "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Exhibition was a great success, exceeding expectations and hopes, shining with the spirit of "Solidarity - Intelligence - Strength - Glory - Pride that we are Vietnamese".

The Prime Minister pointed out that the exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" affirms the culture imbued with Vietnamese national identity, the mettle, intelligence and creativity of the Vietnamese people; at the same time clearly demonstrates the ardent patriotism and steadfast belief of the people in the Party, the State and the revolutionary cause and innovation of our Party and people.

This exhibition also clearly demonstrates the spirit of national solidarity, "comradely love and compatriotic affection" through rich and vivid content and attractive and engaging presentation imbued with the unique culture of the community of 54 ethnic groups from all over our beloved country.

The Prime Minister said that the exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" affirms the view that people are the root and people make history.

The exhibition booth "Government Office - 80 years accompanying the nation" was awarded as one of 15 "Typical exhibition spaces" of central ministries, branches, and agencies.

The exhibition gave visitors the opportunity to go through a vivid journey of time, from the historical milestones of building and defending the country, the wars for independence, to the period of innovation, international integration and the aspiration for prosperous and happy development.

The exhibition space of nearly 260,000 m² is logically arranged on multiple levels, including three main zones:

Overview area at Thien Quy Exhibition House with six spaces: "Vietnam - Country and People", "95 years of the Party flag lighting the way", "Creation and development", "Economic lever", "Start-up to build the nation", "Rich people, strong country".

The outdoor area with the theme of Integration and Development, includes five spaces: "For a Green Future", "Aspiration for the Sky", "Citadel and Shield", "National Festival" and an art performance area. In addition, the Exhibition Area of ​​12 Cultural Industries is held at the A Street Exhibition Hall.

The scientific arrangement, combining thousands of artifacts, models, images, along with the application of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), touch screens, 3D models, and multimedia projections, has brought about an intuitive, modern, and emotional experience. Viewers not only admire the artifacts, but also "live" in the flow of history and the process of building the country today.

Responding to the expectations of the majority of the people, the Prime Minister decided to extend the exhibition for another 10 days, until September 15. This decision was truly "in line with the people's wishes", because, as the Prime Minister emphasized, it was the people who, through their sweat, effort and even blood over the past 80 years, have made the Fatherland glorious.
