On October 26th, the first day of the Autumn Fair after its opening ceremony on the evening of October 25th, a large number of visitors and shoppers flocked to the Vietnam Exhibition Center, creating a vibrant shopping atmosphere.

Attracting customers with discounts of up to 70%

The stalls offering discounts of 30-70% received the most attention from customers, with many high-end fashion brands offering deep discounts. In particular, stalls selling shoes from famous brands like Adidas and Li-ning were popular choices due to the significant price reductions of up to 70%.

A representative from the booth management said that due to the unexpectedly high number of shoppers, even though they had prepared a team of sales staff, they were still unable to meet the demand of the large number of customers.

Therefore, many customers, even after choosing a product design, have to give up because there are no staff members who can help them find the right size.

"We didn't expect such high customer demand. Even though we found products we liked, we couldn't buy them because there were no staff to help us find the right shoe size. The store was overwhelmed by the sheer number of customers," shared Ms. Ha (Thanh Xuan, Hanoi ).

At food stalls, such as the Hanoi food specialty section, long lines formed as people waited to buy goods. The stalls selling Uoc Le pork sausage and Thanh Tri rice rolls were almost completely full as lunchtime approached, with visitors wanting to buy food on the spot to... spend the whole day sightseeing.

Here, stalls selling hot, fresh, and delicious Vietnamese sausages, meatballs, and sticky rice cakes are on display. Ms. Mai Ngoc (Long Bien) said she is very fond of Hanoi's delicious dishes.

Stepping into the quintessential Hanoi atmosphere with its 36 streets and traditional cultural stalls, Ms. Ngoc believes there's nothing better than enjoying Hanoi's street food specialties.

Ms. Mai Hoa (from Phu Tho) shared that during the September 2nd holiday, her family couldn't arrange time, so when they heard about the Autumn Fair – a large-scale fair held at the Vietnam Exhibition Center – her family took their children to Hanoi to both visit the exhibition and shop at the fair.

"I was overwhelmed when I first visited such a large and magnificent fair. In the vast space, there was not only a diverse range of goods and product designs from many domestic brands, catering to diverse shopping needs, but also very unique cultural activities and experiences with many new things," Ms. Hoa expressed.

Unique regional specialties attract tourists.

At the booths of 34 provinces and cities, many regional specialties were displayed, attracting visitors.

Bringing a fish sauce product that meets the national 5-star OCOP standard, a traditional seafood specialty, Mr. Le Ngoc Anh, director of Le Gia Food and Trade Service Co., Ltd. (Thanh Hoa), believes this is an opportunity to promote the product, share the story of the craft, and connect with domestic and international tourists.

At the Lam Dong province booth, all the Da Lat mushrooms in stock were sold out, forcing the booth owner to order additional supplies to meet the growing demand from customers at the fair.

Mr. Duc Tuan, a chef in Hanoi, shared that he came to the fair not only for sightseeing but also to find the best quality, all-natural food sources to supply his family's vegetarian restaurant.

Therefore, after discussing with the owner of the Da Lat mushroom brand, and seeing the high-quality, natural products, he decided to sign a contract to meet his long-term needs.

With the theme and message "Connecting people with production and business," the first Autumn Fair in 2025 is the largest ever, dubbed a "super fair" comprising 5 themed zones and approximately 3,000 booths.

This economic and cultural event is not only on a national scale but also extends internationally, honoring outstanding products and brands that embody Vietnamese identity and ingenuity.

The fair is a national-scale economic and cultural event, chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade under the direction of the Prime Minister, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi People's Committee, Vingroup Corporation, and other ministries, sectors, and localities. Its aim is to stimulate domestic consumption, spread the spirit of "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods," and promote trade, investment, and international integration.
