After only three days of opening, the exhibition "Proud of a strip of country" has created a strong attraction thanks to its elaborate display space, profound content and spreading emotions. On the morning of May 2, a large number of visitors lined up in front of the Exhibition House gate early, including foreign tourists, families with small children, veterans and university students.

In particular, Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Director of the Youth Museum-Library (Vietnam Youth Academy) created a close and attractive atmosphere. He directly guided the tour group, enthusiastically explained each part of the content, shared details about typical images and artifacts such as the simulated Lung Cu milestone, the national flag flying over the Truong Sa archipelago or the image of a handwritten letter sent from the mainland to the front of the waves. While organizing, he was also a storyteller with all his heart, conveying the source of vivid history to each visitor.

Expressing his feelings when choosing to accompany the audience throughout the exhibition instead of resting or traveling , Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung confided: "The exhibition is a tribute to many generations who sacrificed their youth for the country and also a message to the younger generation. Every time I stand before the images of the Fatherland, the soldiers, the home front and the image of a prosperous country, my heart is filled with emotion and deep gratitude."

"For me, the exhibition is not simply a propaganda or commemorative activity, but rather a means of continuing the spiritual life of the nation through each generation. In particular, when I see young students eagerly touching the shells brought back from Truong Sa, or hearing innocent questions about DK1 Platform, I feel hope rising. I believe that when history touches the hearts of young people, it becomes a source of inspiration and motivation for them to live more responsibly towards the country," said Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, a teacher in Hanoi , emotionally shared: "This is the first time I have heard the exhibition organizer tell the story behind the photos. The emotions are so real and profound. My whole family was speechless when seeing the display about the sea and islands."

A new feature that surprised many visitors was the souvenirs and books with patriotic messages introduced right in the exhibition space. The chibi dolls of the Vietnamese Navy made of handmade wool attracted many children and parents to buy as souvenirs. The book "Eyes of the Sea" by author Tran Thanh-Lu Mai with its realistic and emotional description of the life of navy soldiers on remote islands and DK1 platform was continuously sought after, making the exhibition space always crowded.

Discussing these special works and products, the organizers said that this is an important part in "bringing history closer" to the public, in the hope that viewers can own or give each other gifts and books as part of the story they bring back, so that meaningful things continue to spread in daily life.

Le Minh Khoa, a student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, shared: "I read an excerpt from the book 'Eyes of the Sea' displayed at the exhibition and was so moved that I bought it. The stories in it seemed to take me to the forefront of the waves where soldiers are guarding the sea and islands day and night."

The six sections of content throughout the exhibition take viewers on a journey from evidence of sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa, to sacred landmarks on the border, images of soldiers in Truong Sa, DK1... and then to the achievements of innovation and development of the country. The final part is the display of "The Pride of a Country" with the CB500X motorbike displayed as a symbol of the 8,000km long journey of gratitude along the border - a strong inspirational highlight.

Many families brought their children to visit and listen to historical stories about protecting the Fatherland through each exhibit. Tran Nhat Minh, 10 years old, excitedly said: "I see that the soldiers on the island are really strong and brave. I want to visit Truong Sa Island in the future."

The exhibition "Pride of a Country" is both a place to preserve historical memories and contributes to connecting generations of Vietnamese in a common emotional flow about love for the Fatherland, gratitude and responsibility to preserve peace and independence.
The exhibition is completely free of charge to create opportunities for the general public, especially students, families and visitors from afar, to access the profound historical and cultural values of the nation.

According to the Organizing Committee's estimate, the exhibition welcomes over 1,000 visitors each day, with the number of visitors increasing during the holiday season.
The exhibition is not only an emotional destination on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, but also a space to inspire and spread patriotism, pride and responsibility to build and protect the Fatherland in the hearts of every Vietnamese person today.
