Trieu Cau Badminton and a group of business stars flock to the 2025 National Young Entrepreneur Pickleball Tournament

On the afternoon of August 18 in Hanoi , the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association in collaboration with Tien Phong Joint Stock Company held a press conference to announce the first National Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Pickleball Tournament - 2025.

This tournament is organized by the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Pickleball Club in collaboration with Sport Connect Joint Stock Company, 3 Regions Media and Event Joint Stock Company, and Quang Ninh Province Young Entrepreneurs Association under the direction of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association.

The 2025 National Young Entrepreneurs Pickleball Tournament will take place from September 19 to September 21 in Bai Chay Ward, Quang Ninh Province, with a draw starting September 16. The tournament has a total prize of up to 1.5 billion VND, including a bonus of 80 million VND for the amateur men's doubles champion, 40 million VND for the mixed doubles champion, and 35 million VND for the mixed doubles 7.0 level. For other categories, the highest prize is 15 million VND.

The organizers said that many young entrepreneurs, artists and KOLs will attend the tournament, such as comedian Dang Quang Thang, actor B Tran (Tran Quoc Anh), actress Bao Thanh (Vu Thi Phuong Thanh), or Yen Xoi (Dinh Hai Yen), Sarah Lim, Jack Wong...

Mr. Nguyen Van Thu - President of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Pickleball Club, Head of the Organizing Committee - shared: "This year's tournament aims at 3 important goals. That is to create a professional, healthy, national-scale sports playground for young entrepreneurs; promote the sports training movement, help young entrepreneurs live healthy, energetically to overcome challenges in the marketplace; expand exchanges, connect cooperation, spread the spirit of solidarity in the community...".

Athlete Tran Ngoc Trieu (nicknamed Trieu Badminton), one of the most prominent faces in the Vietnamese pickleball community, shared his story about switching from badminton to pickleball:

"I used to play amateur badminton and had some achievements. There were people who teased me that amateur tournaments should... ban Ngoc Trieu from competing. Then, I was inspired by Tran Hung Phong (nickname Phong Coca), also a member of the badminton club, so I tried switching to pickleball. When we first switched, we encountered many difficulties because we were used to badminton and were afraid of bouncing balls."

The Organizing Committee said it will aim to organize the tournament annually, creating a healthy and useful playground connecting the young Vietnamese business community.
