Spain’s 5-4 semi-final win over France showed just how formidable they are. They can overcome anyone, no matter who they face, with their dynamic and versatile attack wreaking havoc. It’s not just Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams or Mikel Oyarzabal, La Roja can supply goals from every player in the squad, with incredible depth.
Their cohesion, synchronization and winning spirit are also impressive, helping Luis de la Fuente's army successfully recreate the period of domination from 2008-2012. Of course, there is no better proof of strength than titles. If they win tonight, Spain will become the first team to successfully defend the Nations League title.
Fellow Iberian side Portugal also won the inaugural Nations League, and will be hoping to do so again. While they didn't have the same dominant wins as Spain, the Seleccao have come into the final with a spirit of never giving up. Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates came back from behind against Denmark and then turned the tables again in the semi-final against Germany. As Cristiano Ronaldo says, these results have given Portugal confidence and motivated them to do something special in the final against Spain.
