This is not only an event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, but also through carefully selected documents, artifacts and images, the exhibition contributes to vividly recreating the glorious journey of Vietnam's revolutionary press and Quang Binh province.

According to the representative of the Organizing Committee, 100 years ago, on June 21, 1925, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc founded Thanh Nien newspaper in Guangzhou, China, opening the Vietnamese revolutionary press.

Over a century of establishment and development, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has continuously grown, accompanying the nation in historical periods, from the struggle for independence and national unification to building and defending the Fatherland.

During the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism, the Vietnamese revolutionary press became a sharp weapon, encouraging the fighting spirit of our army and people, while exposing the crimes of the enemy.

Many journalists have not been afraid of hardships and sacrifices, rushing to the battlefield to report and reflect promptly and truthfully on the nation's just war.

During the period of national construction and development, the Vietnamese revolutionary press continues to play an important role in propagating the Party and State's guidelines and policies, reflecting the achievements of the renovation process, while fighting against negative manifestations, promoting sustainable social development and deep international integration.

Generations of Vietnamese journalists under the revolutionary banner of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh always perceive journalism to serve the country and the people, as Uncle Ho advised: “Journalists are also revolutionary soldiers. Pens and paper are their sharp weapons.”

In the general flow of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism, there is a worthy contribution from Quang Binh journalism, which is the cradle that gave birth to and nurtured many famous journalists, including General Vo Nguyen Giap, who was both an outstanding military leader and an excellent journalist.

In the process of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism, many journalists from their hometown of Quang Binh chose their pens as weapons, chose the truth as their ideal and were willing to sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
